I just did a couple of quick searches on Google for details on Moshe Feldenkrais and his birth there are quite a number of sources who say that he was born in Russia. For example,

The Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education was developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. Born in Russia, Feldenkrais immigrated to Israel at the age of 13.

Born in Russia, Feldenkrais immigrated to Israel at the age of thirteen.

Feldenkrais was born in Russia in 1904 and immigrated to Palestine at the age of 14.

Those statements are not entirely correct. Moshe Feldenkrais was born in Slavuta, Ukraine.

One might quibble with me and say that at the time, Ukraine was part of the Russian Empire.

Fine.

But Ukraine has gone through many periods of being an autonomous region and country. And Moshe's birthplace is in Ukraine. So, let's call him Ukrainian-born.
