Starbucks Offering Free Wi-Fi

Starbucks is switching internet providers and is going to offer Free Wi-Fi in their stores. Well, forgive my language but it's about damn time. Starbucks and T-Mobile had been charging ridiculous amounts for wireless. $6.00 for a connection? I don't think so, unless I am on a business trip and desperate.

I'm not a big fan of Starbucks. I like their coffee but their shops are too noisy and busy for me to get much work done. But like most internet vagabonds - who can make their living from anywhere in the world with an internet and cell phone connection - I want wireless E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E. On those rare days when I wake up at 5:00 am, jonesing for some coffee shop coffee, Starbucks is the only one open in my town.

Now that Starbucks has gotten of their butt and woken up to the importance of wireless, they will get more of my business. Is anyone curious if Starbucks' change is connected the their rather lackluster stock price over the last several years?
