Authors: Can’t get on Oprah? Get thee to Starbucks (Or Costco).

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my no-cost internet marketing course: Internet Passive Income. Thanks for visiting!

A recent New York Times article has a bit to say about new possibilities in the publishing business.

Oprah has been the holy-grail of book promotion for quite a few years now. A brief appearance on Oprah can give an author 1000’s of sales in just a few hours. But in an age of the internet and mega-retailers such as Starbucks, Costco and Amazon, there are many other options.

Did you know that a book featured at Starbucks typically sells over 100,000 copies? Did you know that Costco only features 250 books at a time, any one of which can sell 50,000 or more copies? And how about that editor at Amazon who can feature your book and skyrocket it’s sales?

Widen your net. Get that book blog going if you don’t have one yet. And start thinking about a mega sales channel for your next bestseller.

*I have recently returned from an amazing 5-day book writing workshop with Bill O’Hanlon. Bill also has an online bookwriting course that I highly recommend (this is an affiliate link).
